The Premier Academic Advising Association of Texas

Region Events

One of our goals here at TEXAAN is to serve our members by supporting each region. Our regions conduct professional development networking opportunities and drive-ins to facilitate connections amongst advising professionals in the region so that they can engage in focused conversations and share best practices.

These events often provide a platform for advising professionals to exchange ideas, collaborate, and stay updated on the latest trends and developments in their field.

Student-athletes are a special population of students within universities/institutions nationwide. Today’s presentation will highlight a few unique challenges a student-athlete may face during their undergraduate career—academically, athletically, socially, and mentally. Understanding the lifestyle and expectations of student-athletes will hopefully help the advising community understand, relate, and support the student-athlete population.

    Presenter: Emily Chiang - ejchiang@central.uh.edu

*This Webinar is free for TEXAAN members and $10 for non-TEXAAN Members*
