Greetings Fellow TEXAAN Members!

I am Dr. Terrance McClain and I would like to first give a BIG thanks to each of you that have chosen to become members of our organization. WELCOME to TEXAAN! In the past, our membership has been based on conference attendance. As an attendee of the conference, you were automatically provided membership. Due to Region 7 being in Texas this year, TEXAAN was not able to host its annual conference. Thus, we had to promote ourselves and demonstrate the benefits of being a member.

To those that are veterans of TEXAAN, thank you for renewing your membership. To those of you who are new to TEXAAN, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a member. As we move past our conference excitement, I wanted to share with you my vision and goals for this upcoming year.

Vision: To become the the premier advising organization for academic advisors in the state of TEXAS.

  • Increase membership participation

  • Create additional ways to be involved

  • Host more webinars

  • Provide consistent communication

  • Increase awareness of TEXAAN

Your 2019-2020 Executive Board for TEXAAN is dynamic and has already hit the ground running. We have so many great things in the pipeline and I cannot wait to share them with you. TEXAAN is on the move and I am expecting greater!

Finally, if you ever have concerns or would simply like to reach out, please feel free to email me with your thoughts and concerns. Again, thank you for being a member and know that you are appreciated.
